OpenCart: XLSX for your store

Use an export from Export/Import Tool (JNeuhoff). The result uses the same module’s workbook format.

  • Input: .xlsx · Products
  • Output: .xlsx
  • Ukraine or USA, when enabled

Step by step

  1. Export with Export/Import Tool

Use an XLSX with a Products sheet, unique nonempty product_id values, and language-specific name and description columns. For Ukraine, use name(uk-ua), description(uk-ua) and matching RU fields. For USA, include description(en-gb) or a supported EN equivalent and an English name.

  2. Select a market and presentation

Choose OpenCart and Ukraine (UA + RU). USA (English) is available when enabled. Column languages and source text must match the market. Clean HTML is the default; choose Uplify styling and Classic, Editorial, Soft or Cards for a decorated description.

  3. Upload the XLSX and start

Source facts come from the workbook, including ProductAttributes when present. The job generates descriptions, meta title, meta description, tags, H1 and names when validated results are available. Only supported columns already in the workbook are written.

  4. Review the resulting workbook

Download the XLSX with updated product-sheet fields. product_id, prices, other columns and sheets are retained. Check names and H1 too, as they can be updated. Review the skipped and failed items report.

  5. Import with the same module

Use the installed Export/Import Tool to update existing products by product_id. Settings vary by module version. Test a small workbook first and check the result on your store pages.

Review the result

Wait for the job to finish in your history. Review the generated text and the available “Not processed” report, which lists identifiers and reasons for skipped or failed items. A downloadable file does not mean every product was updated.

Import checklist

  • This flow expects the module’s workbook, rather than arbitrary Excel files or SQL dumps. Other modules may use incompatible structures.
  • UA requires a Ukrainian description column; US requires an English one. RU is written only to existing matching columns when a validated translation is available.
  • Clean HTML uses your store theme. The decorative style selector is hidden in this mode.
